Junnette Javier, a 25-year-old from the Philippines, is a dynamic student leader, passionate advocate, and dedicated daughter whose journey is grounded in purpose and service. She is the fourth of five siblings, raised in a humble yet hardworking family of farmers and businesspeople. Early in life, she learned the value of hard work and entrepreneurship, observing how trading and community relationships shaped daily life in her hometown.

Though she initially dreamed of pursuing Agricultural Engineering in college, financial limitations led her to begin with a course in Accountancy. After realizing it wasn’t the right fit for her, she shifted her academic path to Tourism and Hospitality Management, where she also took units in Business Administration. This turning point helped her discover a path more aligned with her passion for people, culture, and service.

From elementary school onward, Junnette embraced a wide range of experiences—joining various sports and extracurricular groups that helped shape her character and discipline. She actively participated in boxing, athletics, swimming, billiards, basketball, and Arnis, a traditional Filipino martial art that reflects her deep connection to her cultural roots.

She served as a student leader in both high school and college, taking on roles that empowered her peers and made a lasting impact. In her first year of college, she was appointed Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the college department newspaper. That same year, she represented her region in a government-run photojournalism contest hosted by the Philippine Information Agency Region 6. Her leadership journey continued as she became president of her course organization from her second year until graduation. In addition to her academic leadership roles, Junnette also volunteered with the Philippine Red Cross, contributing to community outreach and emergency response efforts. She further demonstrated her commitment to discipline and service by joining the ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps), where she trained in leadership, teamwork, and civic responsibility for her country.

Outside of her academic and professional life, Junnette enjoys photography and continues to live out her greatest passion: helping people. Whether capturing meaningful moments behind the lens or uplifting her community in small and big ways, she moves with intention, compassion, and purpose.

Professionally, Junnette has built a versatile background. After completing her degree and pursuing a teaching certificate, she completed a 6-month on-the-job training (OJT) at the Provincial Government Tourism Office, where she supported local tourism initiatives and community events. She also gained hands-on experience in marketing and spent five months working in the BPO industry, where she developed strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Currently, she serves as a staff member for a non-profit organization, where she has been part of the organization’s mission for over two years, actively contributing to efforts that promote Awareness, Advocacy, and Access for the community.
